BASES DEL 13th INTERNATIONAL YOUTH FILM FESTIVAL, PLASENCIA ENCORTO 2026.
La Consejería de Educación, Ciencia y Formación profesional de la Junta de Extremadura, el Excmo. Ayuntamiento de Plasencia y la Asociación Cultural 24 Fotogramas, convocan el 13th International Youth Film Festival. Plasencia Encorto.
El festival se desarrollará del 15 al 17 de octubre de 2026
Condiciones generales
- Podrán participar aquellas obras realizadas en centros educativos de cualquier parte del mundo, siempre que sus autores no superen los 20 años. Los proyectos deberán estar ideados y ejecutados por los jóvenes, aunque pueden contar con la coordinación de profesores o tutores.
- Cada centro educativo podrá presentar un máximo de dos obras.
- Gastos de alojamiento y viaje: el Festival cubrirá el trayecto desde el Aeropuerto de Barajas hasta Plasencia (ida y vuelta) para un coordinador y dos estudiantes por centro, así como su alojamiento y parte de la manutención. El coste del vuelo no está incluido.
- En caso de que el cortometraje tenga diálogos, es obligatorio incluir subtítulos en inglés, así como PDF con los subtítulos en inglés. (Si tu corto es en castellano no es necesario adjuntar dicho PDF)
- Es obligatorio el uso de música original o libre de derechos. La organización no se hace responsable de posibles infracciones relacionadas con derechos de autor. Las obras que incumplan este punto serán descartadas.
- La duración máxima de cada trabajo será de 10 minutos, incluyendo los créditos.
- La IA solo podrá usarse como herramienta de apoyo, sin reemplazar la autoría humana.
Inscripción
- Los cortometrajes se enviarán GRATUITAMENTE a través de las siguientes plataformas:
- Movibeta. (pincha aquí)
- Festhome (pincha aquí)
- El plazo de envío de trabajos comienza el jueves 26 de marzo de 2026 y finaliza el 29 de mayo de 2026.
- No se admitirán obras realizadas antes del año 2024.
- Es imprescindible cumplimentar correctamente la ficha de inscripción, ya que los datos se utilizarán para el catálogo oficial del Festival.
- Si en la obra aparecen menores de edad, el docente o tutor responsable deberá custodiar una autorización firmada por los representantes legales de cada menor.
- La organización se reserva el derecho de reproducir y proyectar las obras seleccionadas, siempre citando a sus autores. Algunas piezas o fragmentos podrán ser utilizados en otros festivales, subirse al canal de youtube del festival o difundidos en medios de comunicación con fines promocionales o educativos.
- Los cortometrajes enviados tendrán la opción de descarga habilitada en su máxima calidad.
- En el apartado «producido por» indicar el curso escolar y el colegio/instituto
El 13th International Youth Film Festival “Plasencia Encorto” se celebrará del 15 al 17 de Octubre de 2026. Durante estos días se celebrarán las actividades propias del festival, así como la proyección de los cortometrajes seleccionados.
La ceremonia de entrega de premios tendrá lugar el sábado 17 de octubre de 2026, en el Teatro Alkázar de Plasencia (Cáceres, Extremadura).
La participación en el Festival implica la aceptación íntegra de estas bases y de cualquier decisión que la organización tome respecto a imprevistos no contemplados en ellas. El programa definitivo se comunicará con antelación suficiente.
Al asistir al Festival, los participantes aceptan que las fotografías y vídeos realizados durante el evento puedan ser utilizados con fines promocionales y de prensa. Si no deseas aparecer, por favor, háganoslo saber.
Los vídeos seleccionados para la fase final serán anunciados a través de correo electrónico y de la página web oficial del Festival.
Las decisiones del comité de selección son inapelables.
Se aconseja facilitar un correo electrónico que esté disponible en el mes de agosto.

Mejor corto de animación: Trofeo + Diploma + Charla/ Masterclass de animación por la productora extremeña The Glow.
The Regional Ministry of Education, Science and Vocational Training of the Government of Extremadura, the Plasencia City Council and the 24 Fotogramas Cultural Association announce the 13th International Youth Film Festival: Plasencia Encorto.
Dates: 15 – 17 october 2026
General Conditions
-Short films made in educational centers from anywhere in the world can participate, as long as their authors are under 20 years old.
-Projects must be created and executed by the students themselves, although they may be coordinated by teachers or tutors.
-Each educational institution can participate with two short films maximum.
-Accommodation and travel expenses: The Festival will cover round-trip travel from Madrid (Barajas Airport) to Plasencia for one coordinator and two students per institution, as well as their accommodation and part of their meals. The cost of the flight is not included.
-If the short film contains dialogue, English subtitles are mandatory, as well as a PDF with the English subtitles.
-The use of original or royalty-free music is mandatory. The organizers are not responsible for any copyright infringements. Works that do not comply with this requirement will be disqualified.
-The maximum duration of each work is 10 minutes, including credits.

-The submission period begins on Thursday, March 26, 2026, and ends on May 29, 2026.
-Works produced before 2024 will not be accepted.
-It is essential to complete the registration form correctly, as the data will be used for the Festival’s official catalog.
-If minors appear in the film, the teacher or tutor must have a signed authorization from the legal representatives of each minor.
-The organization reserves the right to screen the selected works, always citing their authors. Some pieces or excerpts may be used in other festivals, uploaded to the festival’s YouTube channel, or sent through media for promotional or educational purposes.
-The submitted short films will have the option to download them in the highest quality.
In the «produced by» section, indicate the school term and the school/ high school.

The 13th International Youth Film Festival “Plasencia Encorto” will be held from October 15th to 17th, 2026. During these days, the festival’s activities will take place, as well as the screening of the selected short films. The awards ceremony will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026, at the Alkázar Theater in Plasencia (Cáceres, Extremadura).

Participation in the Festival implies full acceptance of these rules and any decisions the organizers may make regarding unforeseen circumstances not covered herein. The final program will be communicated in advance.
By attending the Festival, participants agree that photographs and videos taken during the event may be used for promotional and press purposes. If you do not wish to appear in these photos or videos, please let us know.
The short film selected for the final round, will be announced via email and on the Festival’s official website.
The decisions of the selection committee are final.
It is advisable to provide an email address that is available in August.
